I always prefer to use open-source technology when it's available, as there is no cost to use it. For this reason my preference is to use PHP for coding all pages, and MySQL for the database back-end. It also allows me to keep prices as low as possible.
Hosting
Basic web hosting is provided free of charge with all small-scale websites that I develop. For large scale websites, and websites which require high bandwidth or an alternative programming technology, I will happily arrange to set up the appropriate hosting. Most websites I develop will fall into the small-scale category.
Domain Names
If you don't already have a domain name for your website, I will happily arrange this for you. Domain name prices usually range from about £2.59 a year for .co.uk names, and £8.99 a year for .com names.
